My time at the Muse retreat was profound.

MARY-Anne YUKTI
Also known as The Muse Queen, Mary-Anne is an artist, transpersonal psychologist, hypnotherapist, and tantra teacher. She believes that art and creative expression are sacred forces — alchemy that transforms pain into beauty and separation into love.
Through her unique blend of poetry, dance, tantra, and therapeutic work, she helps people turn trauma, shame, and fear into creativity, authenticity, and connection.
Her work is devoted to living her truth in a way that gives others permission to do the same. She has published six books and led numerous retreats and therapy sessions for women, men and couples around the world.
In 2025, she won the Best Experimental Film award at the Swedish International Film Festival (SIFF) for her tantric poetry film Divine Savage Love, released an erotic healing album titled Sacred Eros Vol. 1 and published a poetry book “Sacred Eros: Divine Savage Love”. Currently based in Ubud, Bali, she leads poetry and dance workshops, has regular poetry nights, facilitates retreats and works in one-on-one sessions. She recently piloted and launched her signature program Kundalini Rising and created the Muse Retreat.
HOW IT BEGAN
Quite in the beginning of my personal development journey, when I was just starting to become aware of myself and (re)discover my femininity, I was at a massage and sauna ritual in Latvia with local shamans. During a lomi-lomi massage, the shaman stopped in the middle of it and said: “Wow! I’ve never seen such Kundalini. Do you work with Tantra?”.
By that time my whole “work with Tantra” meant having had 2 tantric massage sessions. I knew nothing of Tantra and Kundalini.
“Well he said, you do it naturally,” he said and added:
“You should be working with women!”
“I don’t understand anything myself,” I replied surprised.
“The less you understand, the better! Women simply need to be in the same room with you,” he smiled.
It took me years to understand what that means. Today, working with both women and men, when I already do understand something. Most importantly that life is a mystery to be lived, not analysed to details. Kundalini is the life force energy in every single human being waiting to be awakened and expressed in their unique way. And Creativity is a way to do that.
I learned the hard way, on my own journey, that healing and opening spiritually requires foremost loving presence and trust, but also groundedness in modern day psychology and neurobiology. In other words, tantric mysticism and even channelled creative expression needs to meet trauma sensitive inner work to bring growth that is sustainable and real, integrated in person’s life, not spiritually bypassing and destructive.
After years of working with women and men in various ways, leading many retreats, I have created the Muse Retreat quintessence the best of everything I’ve used, witnessed and experienced. Art as healing. Body as oracle. Life as poetry. This is a humble and powerful journey full of depth, joy, truth, and of course - poetry. This is a sanctuary, an immersion where we become our own Art, rewrite our story from inside out and start living guided by the Muse. Step by step. Day by day. Walking back to Love.
